We often hear about “being a better you.” What about the notion that you are already pretty amazing?
Do you need to be a “better you?” Or perhaps just more aware of what lies within and the wonder that surrounds you?
I don’t want to make you a “better you.”
I simply want to help you discover and feed some of those best parts of ‘you’ that may be lying dormant – or hidden – or denied. I'm passionate about sharing the tools that can help ease how stressed you feel.
That can help bring you back to You.
I know what it's like to feel at your wits end and to keep on trying to plug away at whatever needs to be done - ignoring and burying how you really feel inside. That's why I'm here - to help you find your path to more peace of mind and a way to better deal with the stresses in your life. And once we find that path - I want to help you stay on it.
It wasn't that long ago that I was in that dark place. I was in my third year of a new business when the 2008 recession hit. As things got tougher and tougher, I continued on because I had started with the manifesto that "Failure is not an option."
So no matter how hard it got, I kept believing all of those quotes that tell you people quit too soon. You are just three feet from gold. Success is just around the corner if you don't give up. etc. etc. etc. I felt tremendous guilt, because starting the business had been my idea and I was running it.
By the time I finally made the decision that I couldn't do it any longer, circumstances made me hang on for another year. By the time I closed I could barely walk through the door and felt like I had lost my soul.
Meditation got me through it.
I began to meditate in January 2010 at the suggestion of a friend. It helped me cope and made a tremendous difference in how I felt.
But I was a 'crisis meditator.' I'd start to feel better - I'd fall off the wagon of my meditation practice and stop - I'd feel terrible again - at some point I'd start meditating - and the cycle would continue.
Finally, a few months after closing my business in August 2012, the light bulb went on.
I felt so much better and was able to handle things better when I meditated every day. By that time I felt like I was broken into little bits. Meditation made the difference in my healing - and I've never stopped meditating.
At the time the picture above was taken in November 2014, I was just emerging from the storm and beginning to take the initial steps on the path to where I am now.
Meditation had such an impact on my life that I decided I wanted to help others who were feeling how I had felt.
I signed up to train with davidji as a Masters of Wisdom & Meditation Teacher without having a clue as to how or where I would teach. I just knew that I had to do it. (Thats me in the photo below with davidji & Peaches at my advanced Deeper Still training in November 2015.)
Now I'm here to help you.
I'm not a therapist. You don't have to feel broken into little pieces or that you have lost your soul and your concept of You like I did. But if you feel stressed, impatient, reactive, on edge, anxious - isn't it worth a try to feel less stressed, more patient, less reactive, and able to handle things more calmly?
Everything that I offer is a tool to help you feel a greater sense of well-being. They all have one goal.
